IDC’s Rumi interfaith-intercultural trip to Turkey took place between December 6th and 16th. The cities that were visited on the trip were Istanbul, Izmir, Konya, Cappadocia and Bursa.
In addition to historical sites like Hagia Sophia, Ephesus, House of Virgin Mary, Perge, underground city and carved chapels in Cappadocia, the group attended whirling dervishes performance in Konya. The group also visited some private educational institutions in Turkey. Participants of the trip experienced first hand Turkish culture in the homes of Turkish families.
