IDC’s most recent intercultural-interfaith trip to Turkey took place between Jan 3rd and 13th, 2008. 11 Members of Co-Existence House of Rutgers University and two professors attended the trip. The group had opportunity to see historical sites as well as get to know the Turkish culture very closely. In addition to visiting important sites like Hagia Sophia, Ephesus, House of Virgin Mary, underground city and carved chapels in Cappadocia, the group enjoyed dinners with local families. The group also visited some private educational institutions in Turkey. The cities that were visited on the trip were Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Konya, Cappadocia and Bursa.
